On-site oxygen generation
OXYMAT A/S has previously supplied an oxygen system to the newly built part of The San Fernando Teaching Hospital in Trinidad and Tobago. The oxygen system supplied has following specifications: oxygen PSA generator system: 28.2 Sm3/h capacity, 95% purity, 5 bar(g) outlet pressure and a complete air supply. The system is operating and supplying oxygen for all 216 beds in the hospital.
The San Fernando Teaching Hospital is located at Chancery Lane, which is an extension of the San Fernando General Hospital, located on the twin-island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in South America.
The PSA OXYMAT generator has been supplied with medical approval and all certifications for the medical purposes.

The main services in this new part of the hospital includes specialties within maternity and child health, paediatrics, medical, general surgery, diagnostics clinic, urology, neurosurgical, orthopaedics, a pharmacy, ultrasound and xray services are also available. The Chief of the hospital said, transferring hospitalised patients will be more difficult, but added, “We are confident and happy that we are going to start the outpatient services and the inpatient will commence soon after. The opening day of the new part of the hospital will be a historic day for South and the country.”
The new part of The San Fernando Teaching Hospital is equipped with modern lecture halls, seminar rooms, laboratories and conference rooms, and rooms for outpatient clinics. There are also rooms for doctors on call.
