What do you want to know?

With more than 40 years in the business we believe we have a pretty good idea of what challenges our customers are facing.

If you are currently considering investing in a PSA unit, we would be happy to discuss your needs in detail.

Generally speaking, the more information you provide, the better we are able to assist you.

We have listed the frequently asked questions and answers below.

Frequently asked questions

Here are some answers to the questions we most often receive about our nitrogen and oxygen solutions. If we missed anything, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here to help.

PSA is an inexpensive method of producing nitrogen or oxygen from air. PSA is short for Pressure Swing Adsorption. To learn more, check out our page Nitrogen technology or Oxygen technology.

OXYMAT happily makes quotations with the units you require – imperial or metric.

OXYMAT delivers according to your requirements. Our core competence is PSA units, but we have supplied thousands of compressors, dryers, and filters for more than 40 years.

We are experts in sizing the air package to the PSA, and we get excellent prices from most of our sub-suppliers. Our complete process line prices are usually lower than what you as an individual customer can source yourself.

The short answer is yes. However, we have a close cooperation with BOGE and KAESER. By choosing one of these you can expect a more competitive price from OXYMAT.

We also work with Gardner-Denver and Atlas Copco with whom we have a good technical working relationship.

In general, the more information we receive, the more accurate quotations we can prepare.

The most important factors are listed below:

  • Capacity
  • Purity
  • Outlet pressure
  • Dew point
  • Country of installation (ambient working conditions)
  • Power input (voltage, phases, frequency)
  • Altitude above sea level
  • Certification requirements (ASME/marine approval, etc.)

If you are uncertain about any of the above, please give us a call and we will help clarify what your needs are. Contact us on +45 48 79 78 11 or sales@oxymat.com.

Based on our many years of experience we are experts in sizing buffer tanks based on your application, pressure, and safety margins.

Yes. The energy consumption of OXYMAT’s PSA units is very similar to that of an ASU (air separation unit/gas factory).

However, with the PSA you do not need to transport the gas as you generate it on-site.

Furthermore, the electricity in our production plants is generated by solar roof panels and certified green energy.

In general, OXYMAT has a very green profile, and we continuously work to improve all aspects of our production process.

Whether it makes sense for you to invest in a PSA unit depends on several factors:

  • What is your cost of energy (kWh)?
  • What is the cost of the alternative (liquid gas to tank or cylinders)?
  • How is your surrounding infrastructure (road, rail, ferry)?
  • What is the distance to your nearest ASU (air separation unit/gas factory)?

Overall, the lower the price of energy, and the higher price of gas (O2 or N2), the shorter the ROI (retun on investment) will be. As an example, OXYMAT provides a lot of units to Iceland and Norway where electricity is inexpensive, and transportation can be very costly. Please keep in mind that a truck carrying liquid gas is empty on its way back to the ASU. You will be paying for the return journey as well.

OXYMAT has the tools to make quick calculations for your company to give you an idea of the length of your ROI.
